It's Snowing!

Well, today was the first snow of the season. Butterfly is playing in it as I type this. (I am watching her through the sliding glass door.) Here are some photos I took this morning.

On the TTC front, DP and I have decided to give it one more try. Per doctor request, we are skipping this cycle and will TTC next cycle. Here is the latest doctor appointment story:

The doc that tried to do my IUI last cycle told me to call my doc and come in toward the end of my period. I called yesterday and my doc took me in.

She said my ultrasound did not show a cyst or anything like that in the cervix, so that's good.

She said my cervix is really low and tilted down (something like that) and she tried to "move it a bit" to get into it better. She also dilated it more. She was not able to get in with an IUI catheter, but was able to get in with another kind of catheter that isn't as flexible. She just recently went to a convention where she saw the catheters with the wire in them (I guess like the ones that Sarah mentioned on my other thread a couple of weeks ago.) She said for me to skip this cycle so she could order some of those and she should be able to get in with that.

Of course, getting in with whatever she uses is extremely painful. I was in there this morning and I cramped really badly during the procedure. It felt like someone was scraping a nail against my stomach (well, my uterus) from the inside. It still hurts now. I'm very crampy.

She also said something about thinking there was a gland in the cervix that they might be running into. (I have no idea?!?)

Anyway, I mentioned previously that last cycle was supposed to be our last try. I was feeling very sad about the blockage and feeling like my last few cycles were a waste of energy (financial and emotional), but I was not emtionally ready then to have a conversation with DP about trying again. After the doctor appointment, I finally did it and she agreed that we should give it one more try.

So, I will be taking this cycle off so the doc can order the special catheters and I'll be trying ONCE MORE the following month. (End of Dec/early Jan.) Let's hope it does the trick!
